Personal Project
I spent most of my childhood exploring the wild Brush Mountain, foraging for berries, stumbling upon black bears, white-tailed deer, and being startled by the explosion of a ruffed grouse from a thicket. I spent nights watching meteor showers atop a dew-coated sleeping bags with dear friends. My family home was nicknamed Twin Oaks for two stately trees in our yard. This design was for my parents as a crest for envelopes and simple things like the phone screen when calling our home phone number, which has been the same since I came home from the hospital. The icon changes with the seasons, as the seasons define a child’s outdoor explorations in every way in William’s Woods.
